For a spontaneous 24 hour International adventure we took off for the Toronto ZOO in Scarborough, Ontario approximately 3 hours away depending on getting over the border.

Yoda reaches down to pet the Sting Rays - this was a fun and memorable event. Especially when we were feeding them and got soaked by being splashed by Sting Rays.

This is in front of Darwin's Pond- all fish you see are in the same family but changes due to in breeding. It was cool to see so many fish in one place.

My personal Favorite was this big guy, he had a grooming session and then he took a nap.

Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree, merry, merry king of the bush is he , laugh kookaburra laugh kookaburra gay your life must be. . . .

A mold of the Gorilla's Hand . . . I think he needed a manicure. Remarkably looking like our hands.

Field Trip Friday

These are from the Erie Zoo in Erie PA. we visited on Monday. Today's Field Trip is to the Seneca Park ZOO.
Zoo's - why do we like them? They show us things we could not otherwise see. They tweak our imagination for places to travel, what life must be like in other parts of the world and climates. they teach us about conservation. They teach us that there is more to this big wonderful Planet than just us. They teach us to appreciate this great Earth and creator. so much beauty and engineering in each of these creatures. We were at the Erie zoo in the cold and rain most of the time by ourselves. The Gorilla and Orangutan were very interactive with us. What were they thinking about as they observed us?
