Full Moon Books

Over the years i have collected quite a few books about the moon, Full Moons. My children have always enjoyed both books and moons, even though they are growing they still love both. Nothing like a good walk out on a Full moon night. I watched it rise last evening while working outside - Beautiful!!. November is:
Full Beaver Moon – November This was the time to set beaver traps before the swamps froze, to ensure a supply of warm winter furs. Another interpretation suggests that the name Full Beaver Moon comes from the fact that the beavers are now actively preparing for winter. It is sometimes also referred to as the Frosty Moon.

This month is the Blue Moon for 2010 although not for the second Full Moon in a month but for the third in a season.
Either definition for Blue Moon, the third moon of a season with four full moons, or the second full moon in single month, denotes the quality of odd man out. The Moon however, knows no difference since it was shining long before our concept of time began.

Frosty Moon certainly applies in this area of the country. It has been frosty all day and yesterday!
