Take Time to Unwind

At times, each of us needs to withdraw from the cares which will not withdraw from us.
Maya Angelou

I think that unwinding and taking time to do so is very difficult for most of us in Todays world. We unfortunately are rushed from one thing to the next with little time to stop and ponder or plan for down time. In my house there is always laundry/ dishwasher, homework, etc.. to do and while it is fine to often let them sit to stop and read to a child or some other small task , they are still there they will not go away and they are important to complete.

How do I unwind?

Knitting
In the garden
Tea
Good book
Creating anything
letter writing
music
Quiet time and space
walking

How do the kids unwind?
Books
Movie watching
Tea
Bike riding
brushing the dog
time outside
Imaginary Play

How do you unwind?

Another Favorite is just time outside . . . any where
Also quick getaways- a picnic in the park, day trip or even afternoon trip.
