Ahh the earth is waking up, we see more signs each and every day. The winter aconites are making an arrival now in a big way. It reminds me of the book by Sibylle Von Olfers Mother Earth and her Children a wonderful story of the plants and insects waking up from the Earth and getting brushed off to make a grand appearance. The illustrations are done in a quilted fashion. It is charming.
It smells like spring out, dead leaves, worms and earth that is no longer frozen.

You will also see the last picture has the Maple tree we tapped. We are going to place another tap on it this weekend and also tap two other trees on the property. It's Maple time!! more on that later.
